{"id":37236,"date":"2019-08-07T22:01:29","date_gmt":"2019-08-07T22:01:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.moderndriveline.com\/resources\/?p=37236"},"modified":"2019-08-07T22:01:29","modified_gmt":"2019-08-07T22:01:29","slug":"modern-driveline-supplied-the-t56-kit-for-this-1969-camaro-install-featured-on-v8tv-part-2-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.moderndriveline.com\/resources\/modern-driveline-supplied-the-t56-kit-for-this-1969-camaro-install-featured-on-v8tv-part-2-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Modern Driveline supplied the T56 kit for this 1969 Camaro install featured on V8TV &#8211; part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This is the second part of this two part series of the T56 Magnum install\u00a0 Plans for the build include a GM LSA Supercharged 6.2 liter V8 backed by a T-56 Magnum transmission from Modern Driveline.[vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MkcOO-q7Mn8&#8243; align=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4>T56 Magnum Install<\/h4>\n<p class=\"normal\">In these two installments of the &#8220;Lou&#8217;s Change&#8221; 1969 Camaro build, the\u00a0<a title=\"V8 Speed Shop\" href=\"http:\/\/www.v8speedshop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">V8 Speed and Resto<\/a>\u00a0shop crew is installing the Tremec T-56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission into the &#8217;69 Camaro.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Although this car was originally a 4-speed manual, the modern 6-speed requires some different steps to install.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The T-56 Magnum is the factory transmission behind the 640 HP Corvette ZR1, so we know it will be up to the task in our Camaro.\u00a0\u00a0 We used a complete kit from Modern Driveline after speaking with Bruce Couture about the considerations, including the size of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wwww.toyotires.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Toyo Proxes R888<\/a>\u00a0tires and rear gear ratio of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.currieenterprises.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Currie 9+\u00a0<\/a>rear axle.
