&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>MDL<\/em><\/span> fitted a New Tremec TKX into a 1966 Mustang just to see what was involved.<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>What we learned was that the factory tunnel support interferes slightly with the top of the shifter housing.<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>We suggest you move the tunnel support back about\u00a0 2-3\/4&#8243; to fix this.<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>We do not suggest cutting it as that may change the integrity of the tunnel support.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>From the still photos on the left, you can see the clearance you can expect with a stock crossmember &amp;
