I have done almost all the work on it myself, screwing up and teaching myself how to fix my mistakes. I actively open track my car at Laguna Seca, Sears Point, and Thunder Hill.<\/strong><\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>This install was fairly straightforward being that the TKO600 that I was replacing with the TKX are very similar in their mounting position and external hookups.<\/strong><\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-55257\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moderndriveline.com\/mm5\/graphics\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/chucks-67-mustang-Cropped-300x228.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" \/><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>While I had the transmission and throwout bearing out I also removed the clutch and flywheel to do a thorough inspection.<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>I reset the hydraulic throwout bearing depth and cleaned up everything.<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>With the transmission on a tranny jack I simply moved the TKX up into position to bolt up. With the hydraulic hoses through the bellhousing,\u00a0 it was just a matter of guiding the input shaft into the clutch disc and pilot bearing. I was careful to make sure there was no binding as I drew the transmission to the bellhousing using the mounting bolts. Then I pushed the back of the transmission with the shifter into the hole in the floor.<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Next, I installed the crossmember and mount and all the bolts and nuts. Then going through to make sure all the bolts were tight, that part was done.<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Moving on to installing the driveshaft, speedo cable, and reverse lights pigtail. With all that now finished the only thing left to do was to fill the transmission up with the Amsoil fluid.
