precision.The shifter is a close-ratio custom made piece that is now an integral part of the transmission<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Many hours of R&amp;D were put forth to provide this to you our customer.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>No upgraded TKX leaves here unless it&#8217;s right.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<hr>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">What do we do to the TKX:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>MDL modifications bring the shifter stub up in OE positionWe achieve this by carefully machining, updating, and integrating new pieces to <\/strong><strong>this HOT NEW must-have transmission<\/strong><strong>Not available through TREMEC.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>When MDL started looking into different applications we quickly realized that some GM models, as well as early Fords, were going to need some special consideration.<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>We designed and engineered some special items to integrate with the TKX transmission to achieve this,&nbsp;with 3 things in mind.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>It must shift as smoothly as the unaltered unit.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>It must bring the shifter up into the correct OE position without alteration to the car or center console.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>it must be rock solid, have a finished appearance and make installation easy.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..<\/span>Ok, that last one has more than one &#8216;must-have&#8217;&nbsp; in it&#8230;<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>We also made it the smallest top turret offered in the industry, for the best fitment through the factory shifter opening.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Each special shifter is CNC machined from aluminum for corrosion resistance &amp;
