How to Order
MDL is very well stocked with almost every inventory item we sell.
We are making every effort to keep the website up to date but oversights do happen and we apologize for any inconvenience.
A positive customer experience has been our goal for the past 25 years and will always be moving forward.
ORDER ONLINE
Most of our products can be ordered online using our shopping cart.
As you browse, click on the “Add to Shopping Cart” link.
When you are finished, review the items in your shopping cart, make any necessary changes, and complete the ordering process.
At the final checkout, the system will ask you to pay via Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, American Express, or PayPal account.
( please be aware of PayPal /MDL purchase return policies )
If you are not comfortable with financial transactions over the Internet, there is an option to place the order and we will call you to make the financial arrangements, which can be: checked by mail or credit card over the phone.

Order Changes and Cancellations
Any order can be changed or canceled up to the time of shipment.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to make any changes and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
If the order has already shipped the order may still be canceled but there will be a cost incurred.
You The customer are responsible for any unrecoverable costs, such as shipping, resulting from the cancellation of an order if it has already been shipped.
If you have received an invoice from us with a tracking number this means your item(s) have been shipped.

Returns (RMA)
(RMA) Returned Merchandise Authorization Policies & Procedures
We understand it is sometimes necessary to exchange or return item(s).
Your satisfaction with our product is guaranteed. You may return within 90 days of receipt:
Returns and Replacements not purchased directly from MDL MUST go through the original place of purchase.
For items purchased directly from MDL, you may return items within 30 days of receipt.
Any returns conducted past 30 days of receipt, with regards to shipping costs, all costs will be the responsibility of the customer returning the item.
If the item was misidentified or incorrectly ordered by the purchaser, concerning shipping costs, all costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
This applies to telephone & online orders alike.
All returns must be freight pre-paid. Items returned through COD cannot be accepted by MDL.
MDL will refund shipping charges under these conditions.
if a wrong or incomplete item was sent to the customer or if the item is defective or damaged upon arrival.
Items that meet these conditions are:
New item in original packaging and original/unaltered condition.
– Original/Unaltered means: that NO restoration, painting, major cleaning, or removal of finish, physical damage structural or cosmetic or change of any kind has occurred
The item(s) Must be in re-sellable condition.
A used core, as long as it is shipped in the box that contains the new product.
Any item received in a damaged or defective condition.
Any item received in error.
Returns are subject to a 15% Restocking Fee for the following conditions
The customer changes their mind about a purchase and it has left our warehouse.
No longer needed/wanted
Bought by mistake
Better price are available elsewhere
** This fee may also be charged based on the determination upon inspection of the returned parts. **
Note: Items that have not been returned within 45 days after the issue of RMA #
no longer qualify for return.
HOW TO RETURN AN ITEM:
If you need to return an item please call us for a return authorization.
When returning an item please include a copy of the invoice and information concerning the reason for returning the item and if you desire a refund or exchange
All returns must be freight pre-paid. Please do not return items COD because we cannot accept them.
Returns are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee.
Please be aware MDL will refund shipping charges only if we have sent the wrong item or if the item is defective.
If you are exchanging (restocking fee waived), please let us know what you would like by indicating your preference on the receipt. We will issue a store credit if you are not ready to purchase.
All credits (except store credit) will be placed on the credit card used for the original purchase.
We ask that you please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement.
All returns must be new, unused, undamaged, and packed in the original packing material.
When returning, insure the shipment for the value of the item.
Should any item be determined by MDL to be out of the realm of normal use and/or service it may be deemed unfit to qualify for Warranty, Exchange, or Refund.
Exchanges
MDL Exchange Policy
At Modern Driveline, we aim to make exchanges as smooth as possible. Please contact us by phone or email to make sure the parts you received are correct. If a return is required, MDL staff will review and issue RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number with instructions on how to process the return. No items are to be returned to MDL without an RMA.

Restocking Fees: 15% restocking fee for returning items with 90 of purchase. Items must be in the original packaging and in new, unmodified condition. If an item is returned for warranty, no restocking fee is applied.

Store Credit Option: If you prefer in-store credit for future purchases, please indicate this on your receipt. An in-house credit will be issued if the item is to be exchanged, or you are not ready to purchase immediately.

Refund Processing: Refunds (excluding store credits) are applied to the original payment method. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to reflect on your statement. If you have closed the account that the purchase was made with, a company check will be issued.
Processing Time:
We typically review and handle returns within a few business days after receiving items. However, due to the complexity of certain products, we may take up to 30 business days to finalize the return. Thank you for your patience.
Warranty Process & Policy
Order Accuracy Reminder
Please check your order upon delivery and report any discrepancies or damage within 10 days. This ensures we can address issues quickly and avoid additional shipping costs or reporting missing items.
Tremec Transmission Warranty
- Warranty Coverage: All Tremec Transmissions and Tremec-manufactured products come with a 1-year warranty.

What Happens with Warranty Returns?
- All returned items are inspected by either MDL or the manufacturer to confirm any defect in material or workmanship.
- The evaluation process takes approximately 5-10 business days after the receipt of the item.
- Depending on the item and warranty terms, some items need to be sent to the manufacturer directly. MDL branded items that qualify under warranty, we will repair, replace or issue a refund for the purchased price.
Warranty Disclaimer
- MDL guarantees all products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for regular use.
- MDL is not responsible for damages resulting from improper installation, misuse, accidents, or normal wear.
- Limitations: Our warranty covers only product replacement or repair. MDL is not liable for labor costs, installation, or indirect damage such as loss of vehicle use or storage fees.
Shipping
Shipping Information
All shipments are via UPS ground unless requested otherwise.
The Cost of shipment, handling and insurance will be added to the total bill. Our shopping cart estimates the shipping charges.
We reserve the right to change the charged amount when the actual shipping charges differ more than 10% from the estimate. Estimated shipping charges are US domestic only.
We strive to keep products on the shelves ready for shipment, but often demand depletes stock. We will let you know by phone or email of the anticipated shipment date, especially if there is a delay.
Keep in mind that UPS can take 7-10 days depending on the distance from Idaho.
MDL does not ship COD.
MDL requires the shipping address match the billing address of the credit card used.
It is MDL’s policy that the customer’s credit card is not charged until time of shipment.
Modern Driveline does not offer freight pick-up organized by the customer as a company, or individual, or third-party shipping company from our location.
Any international order placed with Modern Driveline will be shipped either directly to you by our shipping company or to a freight forwarding company of your choice within the continental US.
Your freight forwarder may offer LTL freight (Canada & Mexico), Air freight, or Sea freight.
International orders sent to a residential address within the US will be treated as a residential order and sales tax may apply.
By law, any freight forwarder must have a legal resale certificate and business license to avoid any sales tax charges. Sales tax is determined by the ‘ship to’ location.

At MDL we do everything we can to maintain competitive pricing as well as pass along our Discounted Shipping Rates to our customers.
All of the things we do… from better packaging to service after the sale, lifetime tech support, and many other ‘added value’ perks will still be part of how we do business.
Billing for orders placed occurs at the time of shipping.
You can always ask for billing before shipping if you prefer.

We accept checks (which must clear the bank before shipment), e-check, cashiers checks, money orders, credit cards or PayPal.
Upon receipt of an order we will process, then confirm the order with you via email.
For your protection we require the shipping address to match the billing address of the credit card used. Your credit card is not charged until the time of shipment.

MDL does not conduct any sales COD.
Via prior approval, we will accept checks and money orders, which must be received and cleared by the bank before shipment.
If a customer would like to use a credit card but do not wish to use the MDL secure site, the customer may call, and MDL will process the credit card information over the phone.
