Description
Converting a '65 Impala from automatic to manual transmission - or restoring an existing four-speed car - starts with the right pedal assembly. Full-size GM B-bodies used two different pedal hanger designs during this era, and getting the wrong one means starting over. This clutch and brake pedal set features a pin style cross-shaft that works only with vehicles that originally came with a pin-style pedal hanger. It will not fit cars equipped with the bolt-style hanger with clip retention.
Every component is engineered for precision fit and long-term durability. The pedals are laser-cut from quality steel, then formed with CNC bends to hold exact tolerances. A black powder coat finish protects against corrosion while delivering a clean, understated appearance under the dash. This pedal set is an OEM replacement design - when converting from an automatic, the stock pedal support is retained, simplifying the swap.
The master cylinder mounts forward on the firewall, maintaining factory-correct geometry for proper brake and clutch operation. Whether you're installing a classic Muncie four-speed or upgrading to a modern TREMEC five or six-speed, this pedal assembly provides the foundation your manual transmission conversion needs. Proudly made in the USA.
Complete your installation with MDL's recommended pedal pad kit (MD-412-0303-MB) for that factory-correct OEM look, featuring stainless steel trim rings.
