      Q. Do I need this dowel for a 83-04 Mustang V8 flywheel to install my clutch? A. Yes, very much so. The dowels align the pressure plate to the flywheel. Unlike earlier clutches what use the shouldered pressure plate bolts, the 8mm pressure plate bolts are not shouldered due to the alignment dowels. This pins are stepped in size to prevent them them from coming out of the flywheel.
