The Tremec T-5 5-speed single-overdrive manual transmission is perfect for first-gen Mustangs, as they are lightweight, compact, and install without modifications. Capable of handling over 330ft/lbs of torque, with a single overdrive reducing rpm, increasing fuel mileage, but more importantly increasing smiles per mile. The offset shifter slides into the OEM shifter hole with the correct back to retain the stock shifter position. This T-5 package was designed for those converting from an automatic transmission or just wanting to start with all-new parts behind a Ford small-block engine.
