Tremec TKX 5-speed single overdrive manual shift transmisison packge is a great addition behind Ford FE big block based engines. Capable of handling over 600ft/lbs of Torgue, with several gear ratios available, a TKX is a great choice with a single overdrive reducing rpms, increasing fuel mileage but more importantly increasing smiles per mile. Tremec designed the TKX to bolt up to OEM four speed bellhousings. With a compact end loading main case, and mulitple shift postions, TKX can be installed into just about anything rear wheel drive. side mounted shifter no tunnel mods are needed. Even the shifter postion is retained, for that stock look and feel.
