Description
Stock TREMEC 3550 and TKO shifters work, but their bulky turrets and vague detent feel leave room for improvement. The Qwik Stik Shifter solves both problems with a compact, purpose-built design that bolts directly to the transmission tailhousing. The result: factory-correct shifter placement with a dramatically shorter throw and sharper gate definition.
Machined from billet aluminum and anodized for long-term durability, the Qwik Stik sheds weight compared to cast OEM units while delivering the precision you expect from a performance shifter. Belleville washers replace conventional coil springs, creating the positive detent action that makes 2-3 upshifts crisp and confident—critical when you're winding out a high-revving motor. The no-stops design means there are no plastic or pressed-metal stops to break or wear; you get unobstructed gate travel and easy access to internal components if service is ever required.
The compact top turret is specifically sized to slip through most classic Mustang and other muscle car floor openings without cutting or hammering the tunnel. This straight-up, no-offset configuration places the shift stub in the rear position with zero lateral offset—ideal for maintaining original console or boot alignment. The 7/8-inch on-center mounting pattern accepts the majority of aftermarket shift handles and knobs, so you can run the lever style that suits your build.
Designed and manufactured entirely in the USA, the Qwik Stik Shifter fits TREMEC 3550 and original TKO 5-speed transmissions. A high-temperature dust/oil boot is included to seal the shifter housing and keep gear oil where it belongs.
