TECH UPDATE: Brake Booster & Hydraulic Clutch Fitment

We have learned that the units which are advertised as an 8” booster diameter but have an extending lip, which in turn will make it larger than 8” WILL cause interference and will not allow for proper mounting of our MDL-Clutch master cylinder.

The unit below does not look like a stock ‘Bendix’ or ‘Midland’ booster.
As you can see this one is wider and flatter.

We designed the clutch master cylinder kit around the stock ‘Bendix’ & ‘Midland’ boosters.

Here is an example of a stand-off bracket booster.

If you are using an after-market booster then you are limited to 8” & under in diameter when paired with our MDL clutch master cylinders.
We always advise careful measurement and mock-up for fitment to ensure the items you select will work together.
If you are using a mechanical or cable system these units are perfectly suitable for that type of application.
