Product Return & Logistic Specialist
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a highly motivated, conscientious self-starter with a positive attitude that can multi-task and work effectively as a member of our team. Must be dependable, willing to learn, adaptable to change and accountable regarding work related demands. Automotive parts familiarity, understanding of inventory packaging and product issue resolution is a must (forklift experience is a plus).
Job Schedule:
Full-Time (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm)
Qualifications:
- Experience with product receiving and return items inspection
- Ability to investigate/resolve issues, communicate effectively and record findings
- Familiarity with packaging and securing items for shipment
- Proficient with a computer (MS Office, QuickBooks)
Job Summary:
Returns: This portion of the role is key in assessing condition of return parts, determination of refund values and deciding final inventory status. Includes receiving customer returns, verifying item condition, communication with sales associates, consulting with production personal, recording observation data and updating the inventory system. It requires adherence and enforcement of our customer return policy, and inventory maintenance of any scratch and/or dent items.
Freight: This portion of the role is responsible for preparing customer orders for domestic and international freight shipments. Includes order system monitoring, calculating weight/measurements, pulling items from stock, packaging product, updating order status, filling out appropriate paperwork and scheduling freight carrier pickups.
This person is also expected to participate in receiving, product verification, restocking efforts and clean up duties to maintain a ready, organized, and safe work environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Verify customer return items, record findings, and provide details to sales staff
- Maintain scratch and dent product inventory
- Provide freight delivery quotes (estimate weight, measurements, and cost)
- Prepare carrier paperwork, package items securely and schedule freight pickups
- Stage, maintain and monitor completed freight orders waiting pickup
- Perform other tasks or duties as assigned or needed
Additional Responsibilities:
- Receive new product inventory, package, label and stock
- Clean, organize and re-stock work areas
- Appropriately dispose of recyclable scrap and waste material
- Assist with special projects as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
- Ability to reach over and around objects to lift, move or place materials in designated areas (includes bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching above and below shoulder height)
- Lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently and over 50 pounds with assistance
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Understand written and verbal instructions
- Verbally communicate with co-workers and managers in a productive manner
Working Conditions:
- Temperature variances consistent with normal warehouse work environment and must be able to tolerate warm and cold depending on seasonal weather conditions
- Position will require strength and stamina to complete tasks
- Availability to occasionally work over-time to meet business needs
