T5 Transmissions

Introduced in the early 1980's, the T5 has become a highly evolved, compact, and versatile 5-speed. In its rich history, the T5 has been installed as original equipment in a variety of vehicles, from pickup trucks and SUV's, to the fun-to-drive 5.0 Mustang.

Today, the T5 still enjoys life as an original equipment unit in several overseas applications, while simultaneously gaining popularity in hot rod and performance markets. T5 5-Speed:
It’s small, light, smooth-shifting, and very affordable. For years, the T5 has been a favorite of the Ford community, and it is the undisputed darling of contemporary Flathead enthusiasts, adding modern driving capabilities to a decided traditionalist platform. Once available in a wide variety of original equipment (OE) applications, today TREMEC only produces the T5 in its well-known, Fox-body Ford Mustang configuration.

Rated for 300 lb-ft of input torque, the T5 is an excellent platform for moderate horsepower and/or lightweight cruisers.
