Description
Factory steel driveshafts add unnecessary rotating mass that your engine has to accelerate with every stab of the throttle. That extra weight is magnified during rotation, robbing throttle response and slowing your S197 Mustang down. This custom aluminum driveshaft eliminates that dead weight while delivering the strength and precision your Magnum XL swap demands.
Built from 4.0" O.D. 6061-T6 aluminum tubing with .125" wall thickness, this driveshaft offers a superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to factory steel units. The larger diameter and thicker wall provide rigidity under high torque loads while substantially reducing rotating mass. Every shaft is professionally balanced at high speed to eliminate vibration from idle through redline.
The Sonnax billet steel slip yoke features 31 splines to match the T56 Magnum XL's output shaft, delivering precision engagement and exceptional durability. The 113mm manual pinion flange bolts directly to your Mustang's differential, and the 1350-series U-joint compatibility handles serious torque. Note: Pinion yoke may need to be updated to 1350 U-joint depending on your differential configuration.
