    Description

    Street performance builds using Ford's stock 289/302 10" long pattern flywheel need a clutch that delivers smooth engagement without sacrificing durability. The Superior clutch kit addresses this challenge with a dual-faced design that puts full Kevlar friction material on the pressure plate side for aggressive holding power and twice the service life of stock organic facings, while maintaining an organic facing on the flywheel side for that familiar pedal feel and smooth takeoffs.

    The engineering centers on the sprung hub carrier design. Where solid hub clutches transfer every engine vibration and power pulse directly into the transmission, this fully sprung system uses a marcel spring to cushion engagement and dampen drivetrain shock. The result is smoother shifting, reduced transmission wear, and better control during spirited driving. The 26-spline 1-1/8" hub configuration matches perfectly with TREMEC TKO, TKX, and T-56 transmissions, making it the correct choice for classic Ford small-block swaps requiring mechanical clutch release.

    The diaphragm pressure plate uses 5/16" bolts with 3-1/8" spacing to mate with Ford's 10" long pattern flywheels.
