Description
Finding a quality clutch kit for Ford's 10.4" metric bolt pattern that actually meets the tolerances a performance build demands isn't easy. Mass-produced clutches cut corners on QC, leaving you to discover runout or engagement problems after the bellhousing is bolted up. The MDL Superior clutch line eliminates that gamble -- every disc is hand-assembled at MDL's Idaho facility and double-checked for accuracy before it ships.
This kit uses full Kevlar facings on both the flywheel and pressure plate sides of the disc. Kevlar delivers aggressive initial bite without the chatter and harsh engagement of ceramic compounds, making it ideal for performance street and open-track applications where you still want a streetable pedal. The sprung hub absorbs drivetrain shock loads and dampens harmonics that solid hubs transmit straight to the transmission.
The 10-spline x 1-1/16" hub matches factory Ford T-5, 3550, TKO, and TKX input shafts. The included throw-out bearing features a cable profile that also works with hydraulic actuation systems -- critical flexibility when you're upgrading from a factory cable setup or running a hydro conversion. The metric pressure plate bolts up with 8mm fasteners and alignment dowels to Ford 5.0L HO flywheels from '86-'95 applications.
