The MDL Superior 10.5" clutch assembly solves the problem of inadequate torque capacity in classic GM performance builds without sacrificing street drivability. The dual-faced disc design puts the science of friction materials to work. The Kevlar facing on the pressure plate side delivers aggressive bite and exceptional heat resistance under load, while the steel-backed organic material on the flywheel side provides smooth engagement and consistent pedal feel. This hybrid approach gives you the holding power needed for performance applications without the harsh on/off engagement of full race clutches that make stop-and-go traffic miserable.
Every Superior clutch assembly is hand-assembled and quality-checked at MDL's facility in Idaho before it leaves the shop. The diaphragm pressure plate features an 11-5/8" bolt pattern for proper GM applications, and the 26-spline disc is engineered specifically for TREMEC manual transmission swaps including the TKX, TKO, and T5. The sprung hub design dampens driveline shock to protect both the transmission and provide a more refined driving experience.
