The ceramic flywheel-side facing provides aggressive bite for hard launches and quick shifts, while the Kevlar pressure plate-side maintains smooth engagement for street driving. Ceramics have a higher coefficient of friction than organic materials, meaning they bite harder and hold more power given the same clamping force. The iron content in MDL ceramics creates even more friction as heat builds, making this clutch more effective under sustained high-heat conditions--exactly what you need for repeated drag launches or spirited road course sessions.
The diaphragm pressure plate features low lever height specifically engineered for increased clearance with hydraulic concentric slave cylinders.
