Description
The LT1 engine's pull-style clutch system operates opposite to conventional GM small-block clutches -- the throwout bearing pulls rather than pushes to disengage. This MDL Superior clutch set is engineered specifically for that reverse-action system, ensuring proper engagement and release characteristics that pull-style LT1 applications demand.
The clutch disc features kevlar/steel-backed organic facings that deliver the ideal balance of streetability and performance. The kevlar material provides enhanced grip and superior heat resistance compared to pure organic friction surfaces, while the steel backing ensures consistent torque transfer and extended service life.
