Description
High-output GM builds often face a clutch dilemma: maximum holding power is required, but engine bay constraints prevent stepping up to a larger diameter disc. The Superior 11" Kevlar/Ceramic clutch set solves this problem by combining aggressive friction materials with a low lever height design specifically engineered for hydraulic concentric slave cylinder applications. The result is 600 lb-ft of torque capacity in a package that clears modern hydraulic release systems without binding or inconsistent pedal feel.
The dual-compound friction disc places Kevlar on the pressure plate side and ceramic on the flywheel side--a combination that delivers the best of both materials. Ceramic's higher coefficient of friction provides the hard-hitting bite needed for drag launches and quick shifts, while Kevlar contributes smoother engagement characteristics.
