    Description

    The factory clutch in Ford's high-revving 5.2L Voodoo flat-plane crank V8 quickly becomes the weak link when you start adding power. McLeod's RST twin-disc clutch kit delivers the torque capacity to handle up to 800 horsepower while retaining the smooth engagement and easy pedal effort essential for daily driving a high-strung track car like the GT350 or GT350R.

    Twin-disc designs deliver more friction surface area than single-disc clutches without requiring crushing clamp loads, which is why the RST maintains a lighter-than-stock pedal feel despite its substantial power handling. The organic-faced discs provide progressive engagement with excellent release qualities--critical for heel-toe downshifts on canyon roads or track days. The Blanchard-ground floater plate with multiple retention straps minimizes the chatter common to multi-disc clutches, keeping noise levels street-acceptable.

    The included billet 6061-T6 aluminum flywheel is CNC-machined with a replaceable 1045 steel friction surface and heat-treated 164-tooth ring gear. Aluminum construction slashes rotating mass compared to steel, improving throttle response and allowing the Voodoo's signature 8,250-rpm redline to come up faster. The zero-balance flywheel matches the flat-plane crank's unique balance requirements. The entire assembly ships pre-balanced and studded together--ready to bolt onto the crankshaft without additional machine shop visits.

    Fitment: 2015-2020 Shelby Mustang GT350 and GT350R with 5.2L Voodoo engine. Designed for 26-spline aftermarket transmissions including TREMEC T-56 Magnum and Magnum XL. Note: Pilot bearing and throwout bearing are required for installation and sold separately.
