Description
Shift knobs with painted or surface-applied graphics eventually fade, peel, and look worn out. This 6-speed black shift ball solves that problem with subsurface graphics that are embedded during manufacturing - the white shift pattern literally cannot wear off, no matter how many miles you put on it or how aggressively you shift.
The specially formulated high-impact polymer resin handles serious abuse. Unlike cheap plastic knobs that crack under temperature extremes or hard use, this material is engineered specifically for performance applications where torque loads and heat cycling push lesser materials past their limits. The 2-1/8" diameter strikes the right balance between palm-filling grip and nimble throws during spirited driving.
Designed with a universal 16mm x 1.5 internal thread, this shift ball works with Ford, GM/Chevy, and Mopar applications when paired with the appropriate thread reducer. Standard SAE sizes like 1/2"-20, 3/8"-16, and 7/16"-20, plus metric options from 8mm to 12mm, are all compatible with readily available brass thread adapters. If you're unsure what thread size is on your shift lever, MDL's tech team can help you identify the correct reducer - just call 208-453-9800.
Built in the USA by a manufacturer that has been shifting gears since 1952, this shift ball delivers the quality, precision, and durability that OEM, aftermarket, and custom builders have relied on for over seven decades.
