Description
Cheap shift knobs crack, fade, and strip out under hard use. The R-Series shift ball solves those problems with a specially formulated high-impact polymer resin engineered specifically for the demands of performance driving. This isn't generic plasticit's purpose-built material that won't develop stress cracks with age and maintains its finish through years of daily driving and spirited shifting.
The 16mm x 1.50 brass master insert is where this shift ball proves its worth under load. It exceeds the auto industry's specification of 200 ft. lbs. static pull and 20 ft. lbs. twist torque test, so it won't strip out or work loose when you're rowing through gears hard. The 6-speed shift pattern and pearl gray racing stripes are subsurface graphicsembedded within the material itself rather than printed on topso they cannot wear off no matter how many miles you put on them.
At 2-1/8" diameter and 4 ounces, the R-Series delivers a substantial grip surface without adding excessive weight to your shift lever. The precision-machined construction is polished to a high-gloss finish that looks right at home in everything from a classic muscle car to a modern build. Thread adapters are available separately if your shift lever uses something other than the standard 16mm x 1.50 threading. Made in the USA by a manufacturer that's been shifting gears since 1952.
