    Description

Traditional hydraulic clutch conversions in classic Chevy trucks typically suffer from heavy pedal effort and improper stroke. The common approach--bolting a 3/4" or 7/8" bore master cylinder directly to the pedal--creates excessive firewall loading, interference issues, and either a heavy pedal or dangerously short throw. The LF Series solves these problems with a smaller-bore, longer-stroke master cylinder connected through a mechanical linkage that multiplies your pedal effort instead of fighting it.

The 0.700" bore x 1.4" stroke master cylinder produces 0.539 cubic inches of fluid volume per stroke--the ideal displacement for most aftermarket slave cylinders, including all MDL LF Series external slaves and Tilton 6000 Series internal hydraulic release bearings. The mechanical linkage mounts inside the cab and converts the stock pedal geometry into smooth hydraulic actuation without the binding or heavy effort that plagues direct-mount systems.

This kit is engineered to use the factory full swing of the clutch pedal, extracting maximum leverage from the stock geometry. The result is precise clutch modulation with minimal pedal effort--exactly what these classic trucks need for modern driveability. The CNC-machined billet aluminum reservoir with black finish adds a professional touch while providing the fluid capacity needed for reliable operation. Uses DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid.

Fits 1960-1972 Chevrolet C10 and C20 trucks using the stock clutch pedal. Made in the USA with lifetime technical support.

    FAQs

    Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.
