    Description

Converting classic GM trucks to hydraulic clutch actuation typically creates more problems than it solves. Direct-mount master cylinders force you to drill new holes, create firewall stress, and deliver heavy pedal effort with poor modulation. The LF Series master kit eliminates these issues with a revolutionary mechanical linkage that preserves your stock clutch rod hole while delivering modern hydraulic performance.

The heart of this system is the mechanical advantage linkage that moves the master cylinder away from the pedal pivot point. This design allows the full swing of your factory pedal to drive a long-stroke, small-bore master cylinder--resulting in exceptional clutch modulation with minimal pedal effort. The 0.750" bore delivers 0.619 cubic inches of fluid volume per stroke, precisely matched to the requirements of most slave cylinders on the market including MDL LF Series external slaves and Tilton 6000 Series internal hydraulic release bearings. The linkage also eliminates firewall loading problems by distributing forces through a robust mounting plate rather than a single penetration point.

Unlike generic hydraulic conversions, this kit is engineered specifically for 1960-1972 Chevy/GMC C10, C20, and full-size trucks and Blazers with complete attention to clearance around brake boosters, steering columns, and other underhood components. The remote polymer reservoir can be positioned for optimal access and protection. Every component is designed to work as a system--from the precise bore sizing to the mechanical advantage ratio--ensuring reliable operation and exceptional feel.

Use DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid only. Made in the USA.

    FAQs

    Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.
