    Converting your C2 Corvette to a modern 6-speed requires more than just bolting in the transmission. The TREMEC T56 Magnum—with its 700 lb-ft torque capacity and robust dimensions—simply will not fit in the factory tunnel designed for smaller 4-speed units. This precision-molded fiberglass tunnel insert solves that clearance problem while maintaining the classic interior aesthetic your '63–'67 deserves.

    Dynamic Corvettes builds each tunnel by test-fitting to a minimum of three never-wrecked Corvettes, then averaging the measurements to create the tooling. The result is a high-quality part that raises the floor approximately 1 inch and accommodates the original shift console. The fiberglass construction provides the strength needed to support the transmission tunnel area while remaining lightweight and corrosion-resistant. Each tunnel is molded in small lots to ensure consistent quality and fitment.

    Remember that these are 40-plus-year-old vehicles where GM's quality specifications varied significantly from today's standards. Whether you buy this tunnel or a competitor's, bodywork will be required—you will not be able to just scuff and paint. Test fitting is mandatory before any bodywork begins, and adjacent panels may need adjustment for proper fit. A qualified Corvette specialist installation is strongly recommended.

    Q. Why can't I use my factory tunnel? A. A Tremec T56 6-speed transmission is simply too big to fit into an OE tunnel, never mind headers, etc. This is the simplest way to accommodate a 6-speed in your C2.
