Description

Swapping a TREMEC 5-speed into your '63-'72 C10 means dealing with the factory crossmember - a part never designed for modern overdrive transmissions. This Bowler tubular crossmember solves that problem with purpose-built engineering that positions your TKO or TKX exactly where it needs to be for proper driveline geometry.

The mandrel-bent tubular design delivers two critical advantages: structural rigidity to handle the torque loads of modern engines and ample clearance for routing dual exhaust under the crossmember. That exhaust clearance is especially valuable on lowered trucks where every fraction of an inch matters. The adjustable height capability lets you dial in the correct driveline angle - critical for eliminating vibration and maximizing U-joint life when you've changed the transmission's mounting position from stock.

Installation requires drilling holes in the frame for proper positioning, and exhaust modifications may be necessary depending on your specific setup. This crossmember works only with traditional engine mounts - it is not compatible with LS setback motor mount configurations. We recommend pairing it with an Energy Suspension transmission mount (sold separately) for optimal vibration isolation and durability.
