    Description

    Dropping a TKO500 or TKO600 into a '64-'67 A-body creates an immediate problem: the factory shifter opening doesn't line up with the transmission's stock shifter location. The Qwik Stik solves this by positioning your shift lever exactly where Pontiac and Oldsmobile engineers intended it to be. The 2" left offset combined with 1.3" to 1.8" backward positioning eliminates fabrication, guesswork, and trial-and-error mock-ups.

    This precision-machined billet aluminum shifter mounts directly to your TKO's rear shifter position, bringing the stick up through your factory console or floor opening without modification. The close ratio short-throw design delivers noticeably quicker throws than the factory shifter, while the Belleville washer detent system locks each gear home with authority. Unlike factory shifters with breakable plastic or metal stops, this no-stops design uses Belleville springs for smooth operation and allows easy access for servicing when needed.

    The anodized aluminum construction saves weight compared to steel alternatives while providing long-lasting corrosion resistance. The included high-temperature dust boot keeps gear oil in and road debris out. The 7/8" on-center mounting pattern accepts virtually any aftermarket shift lever, so you can run your preferred stick and knob combination. Note: This shifter does not have any stops.

    Fits 1964-1967 Pontiac GTO, LeMans, and Oldsmobile Cutlass applications with TREMEC TKO500 or TKO600 transmissions. Made in the USA with lifetime technical support from MDL's drivetrain experts.

    Q. Why do I need a different shifter? A. The MDL Qwik Stik has a smaller top turret to clear the tunnel shifter opening. It is a short-throw shifter with lightning quick response, it is anodized for long life and has no stops to break or replace, as well as many other features over the stock shifter.
