Description
Swapping a modern five-speed into a classic Mustang creates a problem: the original shift lever won't bolt up to a TREMEC shifter, and generic levers look out of place in a period-correct interior. This OEM-appearance shift lever solves both issues by combining mid-'60s Mustang styling with the correct mounting pattern for modern TREMEC transmissions.
Built from high-strength steel with a chrome-plated finish, this lever replicates the factory design down to the simulated reverse lockout feature. The lockout is cosmetic only—it provides the correct visual cues without functional lockout action, since TREMEC transmissions handle reverse lockout internally. The 8mm mounting holes are precisely spaced at 7/8-inch center-to-center to bolt directly to stock T5 shifter mechanisms without modification.
At 8.5 inches tall, the lever delivers the proper shift feel and ergonomics that made the original setup intuitive. The 1/2-inch x 20 threaded tip accepts standard shift knobs, making it easy to complete your period-correct interior.
