Description
When you swap a modern TREMEC transmission or upgrade your rear axle in a classic Mustang, the factory driveshaft no longer fits - and even if it did, it wouldn't handle the additional torque. This custom steel driveshaft solves the fitment and durability problems that come with drivetrain upgrades, purpose-built for 1965-1973 Mustang applications requiring 31 spline output compatibility.
The forged steel 31 spline slip yoke matches the output spline count of TREMEC TKO, TKX, and T-56 transmissions, as well as Ford C6, FMX, and Toploader units. The 1330 series U-joints represent a meaningful upgrade over the 1310 joints found in most factory applications - while both share the same 1.0625" cap diameter, the 1330's wider 3.625" body allows greater driveline angle capability and handles moderate to high torque loads reliably. The 3.0" steel tube provides excellent strength for street and street/strip duty where durability matters.
Every driveshaft is high-speed balanced to eliminate vibration throughout the RPM range and finished in black paint for corrosion protection.
