    Key Features

    • Innovative pedal linkage design matches pedal travel with 0.750" bore, 1.4" stroke master cylinder for reduced clutch pedal effort and optimal fluid volume
    • Uses stock clutch pedal and original rod hole location--no firewall drilling required
    • Firewall mounting plate installs under brake master cylinder or booster where firewall is strongest to eliminate flex under load
    • Long-stroke, small-bore master cylinder generates adequate fluid volume for most internal and external slave cylinders
    • Black plastic remote reservoir with OE-quality construction and leak-free design--no troublesome hose clamps
    • Includes exclusive One-Man-Bleeder Kit for simplified installation and bleeding
    • Fits 1967-1969 Camaro/Firebird and 1968-1974 Nova with factory clutch pedal
    • Made in the USA

    Description

Converting your first-generation Camaro, Firebird, or Nova to hydraulic clutch actuation has traditionally meant compromising on pedal feel or dealing with complex fabrication. The common approach of connecting a 3/4" or 7/8" bore by 1" stroke master cylinder directly to the pedal results in improper pedal pressure and excessive effort. The LF Series solves this problem with an engineered solution that delivers the light pedal effort and precise control serious drivers demand.

The revolutionary design features an innovative pedal linkage that matches pedal travel with a long-stroke master cylinder for dramatically reduced clutch pedal load. The 0.750" bore and 1.4" stroke combination generates enough fluid volume to support most aftermarket external or internal slave systems, including Tilton hydraulic release bearings. This engineering approach eliminates the pedal effort problems that plague direct-mount master cylinders while providing the fluid displacement modern hydraulic clutches require.

The system mounts using the original clutch rod hole location, preserving your firewall's integrity while ensuring proper pedal geometry. The firewall mounting plate installs under the brake master cylinder or booster where the firewall is strongest, eliminating firewall flex under load. The black plastic remote reservoir features leak-resistant construction without troublesome clamps, maintaining a clean engine bay appearance and reliable operation.

Compatible with 1967-1969 Camaro and Firebird, plus 1968-1974 Nova models using factory clutch pedal assemblies. Each kit includes comprehensive installation instructions and lifetime technical support. Fluid requirement: DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid. Made in the USA.

    FAQs

    Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.
