    Description

    Replace your worn out linkage and put the fun back into 3-pedal life. Factory Z-bars and linkage components on '67–'70 Mustangs and Cougars equipped with FE big blocks take a beating from high-performance clutches and aggressive driving. When you ask the stock equalizer bar and its linkage to handle the added pressure of a high-performance clutch setup, it can bend or break—or both. The plastic bushings wear out, introduce slop, and create binding points that make clutch engagement feel vague and inconsistent.

    The Strong Hold Z-Bar Linkage Kit solves these problems with precision-engineered components built to withstand the demands of FE power. The fully TIG-welded Z-bar features a CNC machined pivot tube fitted with spherical bearings that eliminate the slop and binding common in worn factory setups. Teflon-lined spherical rod ends on both the upper and lower linkage rods deliver consistent clutch feel and allow for precise adjustment to accommodate different clutch types and pedal preferences.

    This kit maintains all stock Ford mounting locations and pivot points for straightforward installation without modification to your car. The solid linkage rods use male rod ends, so your stock rubber firewall boot still works properly—no need to source a replacement. Heavy-duty construction handles the increased clamping loads of performance clutches while providing the smooth operation you need for street driving or track duty.
