Description
Swapping a TREMEC TKO500 or TKO600 into a first-gen F-body puts serious torque capacity and a modern 5-speed gear spread under your right foot - but the stock TREMEC top cover often lands the shifter in the wrong spot for the factory console opening. The Qwik Stik solves that problem with a precision-machined billet aluminum shifter assembly that relocates and shortens the throw in one bolt-on package.
The engineered stub offset - 1" left with .65" or 1.15" forward positioning - drops the shift lever exactly where it belongs in a 1967 Camaro or Firebird tunnel. Belleville spring washers create the positive detent feel that makes crisp, confident 2-3 shifts second nature. Unlike stock shifters with plastic or pot-metal stops that fatigue and break, the Qwik Stik's no-stops design relies on the transmission's internal gates alone. That means no weak links in the shift mechanism and straightforward access when servicing is required.
The 7/8" on-center mounting stud is the industry standard, so you can run virtually any aftermarket shift lever, boot, and knob combination. A high-temperature lower dust oil boot keeps gear oil contained and dirt out. Billet aluminum construction shaves weight from the top of the transmission while resisting corrosion and fatigue far better than cast components.
