Description
TREMEC TKO transmissions ship from the factory configured as rear-shift units, but in many classic muscle cars like the '68-'69 Camaro and Firebird, the stock shifter position doesn't line up with the factory console opening. The Qwik Stik solves this problem by bringing your shifter up to the correct factory position while delivering the performance benefits of a close-ratio, short-throw design.
These precision-machined billet aluminum plates mount directly to your TREMEC TKO500/600, eliminating all guesswork in shifter placement. The engineering focuses on shift quality: Belleville washers create positive detent action for crisp 2-3 shifts, while the short-throw design reduces lever travel for faster gear changes. Unlike shifters with mechanical stops that can break or bind under hard use, this design uses Belleville springs that provide consistent feel shift after shift while allowing easy access for transmission servicing when needed.
The shifter stub features a 7/8-inch on-center mounting pattern that accepts most aftermarket shift levers—simply attach your shift lever, boot, and knob and you're ready to row gears. The included high-temperature dust boot keeps contaminants out of the shift mechanism. With a stub offset of 1" left and your choice of .65" or 1.15" backward positioning, this Qwik Stik is dialed in specifically for '68-'69 F-body tunnel clearance.
