Description

Swapping a modern TREMEC 5-speed into your C3 Corvette shouldn't mean custom fabrication and guesswork. This Bowler Performance crossmember delivers a clean bolt-in solution for '68-'79 Corvettes, mounting directly to your factory crossmember locations and providing the solid foundation your TKO or TKX transmission needs.

The included Energy Suspension polyurethane mount replaces soft factory rubber with torque-resisting polyurethane. While rubber mounts flex and distort under high-horsepower loads -- soaking up torque that should be going to the rear wheels -- polyurethane maintains its shape under stress. The result is quicker throttle response, reduced wheel hop, and consistent drivetrain alignment. Unlike rubber, the polyurethane compound won't crack or degrade from exposure to oil, coolant, or road salt.

Engineered specifically for C3 Corvettes that originally came with a 4-speed manual transmission, this crossmember correctly relocates the transmission mount for TREMEC TKO-500, TKO-600, and TKX applications. It supports small block, big block, and LS engine swaps with factory engine placement. Note that if your engine is set back from the stock position, modifications may be necessary.
