Description
When you swap a T56 Magnum 6-speed into your SN95 Mustang, your factory driveshaft no longer fits - the Magnum's 31-spline output shaft requires a matching slip yoke, and the transmission's positioning changes your overall driveline length. This custom steel driveshaft solves both problems with a purpose-built assembly designed specifically for 1996-2004 Mustangs running T56 Magnum transmissions.
The driveshaft is built around a DOM seamless 3.0" steel tube that's 15% stronger than OEM construction. DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) tubing delivers consistent wall thickness and superior concentricity compared to standard welded tubing, which translates to better balance characteristics and increased strength under load. The 31-spline forged steel slip yoke slides directly onto the T56 Magnum's output shaft, while 1330 series U-joints provide the proven torque capacity needed for high-performance street and strip use.
Every driveshaft is professionally high-speed balanced to eliminate the vibration issues that plague improperly built assemblies - critical when you're putting power through a 700 lb-ft-rated transmission. The 44.3" center-to-center measurement is precision-cut for the SN95 chassis, and the rear flange bolts directly to Ford 8.8 small flange rear ends with the 2" center bolt pattern. A black painted finish provides long-term corrosion protection.
