Description
That cracked, torn, or UV-damaged shift boot in your Hurst-equipped '69-'70 Mustang isn't just ugly - it lets dirt, debris, and moisture into your shifter mechanism. This OEM-spec reproduction restores the factory look and function that Ford engineers intended when they designed the original. Built to Ford part number D0ZZ-7277-B specifications, it drops right in without modification.
The boot is manufactured from compression molded EPDM rubber, the same material used in original Ford production. EPDM holds up to temperature extremes, resists UV degradation, and won't crack or tear like cheap vinyl alternatives. The textured skin surface replicates the original factory finish exactly - no smooth, generic appearance that screams "aftermarket" to anyone who knows these cars.
An integrated steel insert is molded into the base, providing the same secure mounting as the original equipment boot. This steel reinforcement prevents the flexing and tearing that kills generic universal boots within a few months of use. The rectangular opening is sized specifically for Hurst's distinctive rectangular shifter lever - this is not a round-lever boot, and it won't work with factory Ford shifters or other aftermarket units.
Fits 1969-1970 Mustangs equipped with Hurst 4-speed shifters. For a complete console restoration, pair this boot with the matching OEM-style shift boot bezel, available separately (see MD-321-1062-B).
