    Description

Stop cobbling together a clutch master solution from universal parts that never quite fit right. The LF (Light Foot) Series hydraulic master kit delivers a complete, engineered solution for your '72-'81 Camaro or Firebird. This isn't a one-size-fits-most kit forced into your application--it's purpose-built for second-generation F-body cars and featured on the Car Fix TV series Firebird TKO conversion.

The engineering starts with a 0.75" bore long-stroke master cylinder that provides the fluid volume modern hydraulic slave cylinders demand while keeping pedal effort remarkably light. By positioning the master cylinder directly in front of the clutch pedal and using a firewall plate that mounts behind your brake master cylinder or booster, the system loads into the strongest section of your firewall. The result: zero firewall flex that robs pedal feel and fatigues components over time.

The kit retains your stock clutch pedal and uses the factory rod hole, so you're not drilling new holes or fabricating custom brackets. The mechanical linkage takes advantage of the full factory pedal swing for maximum leverage, translating to confident clutch modulation you'll actually enjoy in traffic. The CNC-machined billet aluminum reservoir with black anodized finish adds the right visual detail to your engine bay while the OE-quality remote design eliminates failure-prone clamp connections.

Compatible with most internal and external slave cylinders, this kit pairs perfectly with Tilton Engineering internal hydraulic release bearings for a complete hydraulic clutch solution. Whether you're swapping in a TREMEC TKO, TKX, or T56, the LF Series master kit provides the clutch actuation your build deserves. Made in the USA.

    FAQs

    Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.
