Description
Factory automatic Fox-body and SN95 Mustangs used a completely different transmission tunnel height than their manual-equipped counterparts. Manual transmission cars came from the factory with a raised tunnel extension - often called the "hump" - that provides the extra clearance needed around the shifter area and gives the lower shifter boot a proper mounting surface. Without this hump, an automatic-to-manual swap forces you to hack up your floor pan or live with a shifter boot that doesn't seal correctly.
This high-quality tunnel hump is a factory-correct reproduction of the piece that Ford originally spot-welded to manual transmission Mustangs. Formed from 18-gauge press-bent steel, it matches the original factory dimensions and contours. The panel includes pre-punched mounting holes for clutch cable retaining clips, so your cable routing is correct from the start. A pre-primed finish provides corrosion protection and a clean base for painting to match your interior.
