Upgrading your Fox Body Mustang to a TREMEC TKO or TKX transmission means your stock driveshaft no longer fits - the 31-spline output shaft requires a matching slip yoke, and the transmission's overall length differs from the factory T5. This steel driveshaft solves both problems with a purpose-built assembly engineered specifically for the 1979-1993 Mustang chassis when equipped with TKO or TKX 5-speeds and a Ford 8.8" rear end.
The driveshaft centers on a forged steel 31-spline slip yoke that mates directly to the TKO/TKX output shaft - both transmissions share this output spline count as part of their heavy-duty design. The 3.0" steel tube delivers excellent torsional strength without excessive weight, and 1330 series universal joints provide the durability needed for spirited street driving. The rear flange matches the Ford 8.8" small bolt pattern (2.5" x 2.5" spacing), ensuring direct compatibility with most Fox Body rear ends.
