This MDL-branded 6-speed shift ball delivers both - a properly weighted, ergonomic design paired with the correct shift pattern for TREMEC T56 applications. The 1-7/8" diameter fills your palm for confident, positive shifts without the slop or uncertainty of undersized factory knobs.
Built from solid high-gloss, high-strength polymer, this shift ball handles the temperature swings and mechanical stress of spirited driving without cracking, fading, or softening. The engraved inlaid shift pattern shows reverse positioned to the right and up - the correct layout for 2003-2004 Cobra, 2007-2014 GT500, and any Mustang running an aftermarket TREMEC T56 transmission. Unlike printed or stickered patterns, the engraved inlay won't wear away from years of palm contact.
The molded-in brass threaded insert accepts the 3/8"-16 thread pattern common to most aftermarket performance shifters. Brass eliminates the aluminum-on-aluminum thread galling that plagues cheaper shift knobs, and the included jam nut locks the ball in place so it won't back off under vibration during hard use. The included 16mm thread reducers expand compatibility to metric-threaded shifter applications.
Note: This shift ball requires a shifter or shift handle with a 3/8"-16 thread pattern. It will not fit stock Ford shifters from 2007-2010 Mustangs, which use different thread patterns.
