Description
When you upgrade to a TREMEC or other performance transmission with a 31-spline output shaft, your factory driveshaft becomes a weak link. This custom aluminum driveshaft delivers the strength to handle serious power while slashing rotating mass compared to a steel unit. The 1350 series U-joints provide approximately 37% more torque capacity than smaller 1310 or 1330 joints, with larger 1-3/16-inch bearing caps that distribute loads more effectively under hard acceleration.
The 3.5-inch tube is manufactured from custom-drawn 6061-T6 D.O.M. aluminum for consistent strength and wall thickness. The 6061-T6 aluminum forged weld yokes maintain strengthened grain structure for maximum durability, while state-of-the-art welding processes ensure reliable joints that won't fail under stress. Every shaft is high-speed balanced for smooth, vibration-free operation whether you're cruising or running down the strip.
The Ford 8.8 aluminum flange features a 3.5-inch bolt circle with a 4-bolt pattern for direct fitment to 8.8-inch rear ends. This driveshaft is rated for applications producing up to 1000HP at overall lengths up to 58 inches - beyond that, consider stepping up to a larger tube diameter or 1410 series U-joints for adequate strength margins.
