The backbone of this driveshaft is 4.0" outside diameter DOM seamless steel tubing. The DOM manufacturing process produces tubing that's significantly stronger, straighter, and more concentric than standard electric-welded tubing - resulting in 15% greater strength than OEM driveshafts while maintaining excellent balance characteristics. A forged steel 31-spline slip yoke provides the transmission connection, while 1350 series U-joints handle the power transfer with their proven heavy-duty design featuring 1-3/16" bearing cap diameter and 3-5/8" overall span.
Each driveshaft is application-specific and requires your vehicle's exact measurements. Driveshaft dimensions are checked in specialized computer software to ensure the shaft design, dimensions, and critical speeds suit your application. Every shaft is high-speed balanced on the latest driveline manufacturing equipment with balance weight allowances far less than OEM specs, ensuring smooth operation at all RPM ranges.
