This complete Tilton 6000 Series hydraulic release bearing kit eliminates the external slave cylinder entirely, solving interference issues while delivering race-proven reliability for high-performance street applications. The slip-on design mounts directly over the stock TREMEC bearing retainer - no replacement retainer required, no case modifications needed.

    Tilton's engineering centers on precision and reliability. The billet aluminum body and piston are precision-machined in-house at Tilton, then treated with a durable, low-friction coating for long-wearing performance. The stainless steel threaded sleeve provides nearly 1.25 in. of height adjustability, allowing the bearing to be set anywhere from 1.77 in. to 3.00 in. to accommodate virtually any clutch setup. The 0.7 in. of piston travel provides complete clutch release, and the high-temperature mono-seal design with quad tensioner ensures positive sealing under demanding conditions.

    The constant-contact design self-adjusts for clutch wear, maintaining the same pedal feel throughout the clutch's life without the need for periodic adjustment. Unlike traditional throwout bearings that require a gap and return springs, this sealed bearing stays in light contact with the pressure plate fingers at all times. The flat-face bearing features a 1.71 in. to 3.03 in. contact diameter that works with most 8.5 in. to 11 in. bent-finger and lever-type clutches. Compatibility extends to most bellhousings - while external slaves require application-specific bells, this internal design opens up options including original 4-speed bells and big-block bells.

    This is a complete kit with everything needed for installation. Pair with an MDL LF Series master cylinder and appropriate steel-braided supply line (24 in. recommended for most applications) for a fully integrated hydraulic clutch system. Note: This kit includes 5/16 in. bearing retainer bolts; if your transmission uses 3/8 in. bolts (as found on OEM Muncie transmissions), contact MDL to discuss options. Bearing retainer guide tube should measure 1.375 in. diameter. Compatible with DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid - do not use DOT 5 silicone-based fluids.
