Description
GM-style T56 and Magnum transmissions use a concentric slave cylinder to operate the clutch release mechanism -- the CSC combines the slave cylinder and throwout bearing into a single unit that mounts to the transmission input shaft bearing retainer. This OE-style hydraulic release bearing from MDL delivers reliable clutch actuation for your LS swap or performance build, featuring a GM quick disconnect fitting that makes high-pressure line routing straightforward.
The quick disconnect fitting snaps directly onto the CSC body for fast, leak-free connections to your hydraulic clutch line. A remote vent fitting routes the bleeder port outside the bellhousing, eliminating the messy and time-consuming process of bleeding the system from inside the bell. This design is ideal for aftermarket applications where bellhousing access is limited or where you need to service the hydraulics without pulling the transmission.
Fitment includes GM LS-pattern T56, T56 Magnum, and Super Magnum six-speed transmissions when installed in aftermarket hot rod, muscle car, or street rod applications. Note that the quick disconnect fitting does protrude from the bellhousing -- if clearance is an issue in your chassis, MDL also offers a low-clearance version (MD-900-2100-LC) with flexible braided lines instead of the quick disconnect.
