Description
Building a Ford small block with an 11" clutch means matching a flywheel, pressure plate, disk, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing that all work together - and getting any one wrong means starting over. This Superior Series clutch kit solves that problem by delivering every component you need in one box, pre-matched and ready to install.
The Kevlar/organic dual-friction disk is the heart of this kit. The Kevlar side delivers aggressive holding power under load - critical for performance street driving and autocross launches - while the organic side ensures smooth, progressive engagement for daily driving. This combination handles up to 400 lb-ft of torque while maintaining the pedal feel and modulation that makes a car enjoyable to drive. The sprung hub isolates driveline shock and eliminates the harshness that plagues solid-hub race clutches on the street.
All Superior clutch disks are hand-built in-house so MDL can control quality and tolerances. Every component is checked and double-checked for accuracy before it goes in the box for shipping - so you receive a ready-to-install premium piece right out of the box. The 11" long pattern uses 3-3/8" bolt spacing with 5/16"-18 pressure plate bolts, paired with a 164-tooth flywheel for proper starter engagement in big bellhousing applications. The mechanical throwout bearing is sized for the 10 x 1-1/16" input shaft spline found on most Ford small block manual transmission setups.
