Description
When your LS swap or boosted build pushes past what a single-disc clutch can hold, the McLeod RXT Twin Disc delivers 1,000-horsepower capacity without sacrificing street manners. This is the clutch for builders who want to drive to the track, rip off passes, and drive home - no trailer required.
The twin disc design distributes clamping loads across two 9.687-inch ceramic-faced friction discs, providing the grip to handle serious power while maintaining a surprisingly soft pedal effort. The ceramic facings offer slightly more aggressive engagement than organic linings - firm enough to inspire confidence, but not the harsh on/off feel of a race-only clutch. A Blanchard-ground floater plate with multiple straps further reduces NVH for daily-driver comfort.
This complete kit includes a billet aluminum flywheel with 168-tooth ring gear, purpose-built for 6-bolt LS cranks (1997-2013 LS1/LS2/LS3/LS6/LS7). The aluminum construction reduces rotating mass for quicker revs - a real advantage in high-horsepower applications where every tenth matters. The 1-1/8" x 26-spline configuration works with TREMEC TKO, TKX, T56, Magnum, and TR-6060 transmissions.
Compatible with 1997-2013 Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicles equipped with LS engines and manual transmissions. Note: 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V requires slave cylinder spacer 1377-950 (sold separately). All McLeod street performance clutches require a 500-750 mile break-in period of stop-and-go driving before wide-open-throttle use - no dyno tuning or drag racing until fully seated.
