This MDL 5-Speed Black Aluminum Shift Ball solves that problem with a 2-1/8 inch diameter that fills the palm for confident, positive shifts and a brushed black aluminum finish that looks at home in any performance-oriented cockpit.
The 16mm x 1.5 internal thread is engineered to work with MDL's line of thread reducer inserts, giving you the flexibility to mount this shift ball on virtually any shifter handle. Thread reducers are available in both SAE sizes (3/8-16, 3/8-24) and metric sizes (8mm-1.25, 9mm-1.25, 12mm-1.75) to accommodate Hurst, Lokar, TREMEC, and other popular shifter configurations. This universal approach means one shift ball works across multiple builds and applications.
Constructed from lightweight aluminum, this shift ball reduces rotating mass compared to heavier steel or weighted knobs - a deliberate choice for drivers who prioritize quick, precise shifts over added heft.
