    Description

    The Eliminator Series external slave cylinder converts your mechanical clutch linkage to smooth hydraulic actuation without pulling the transmission or replacing anything inside the bellhousing. If your Z-bar is bent, binding, or just plain tired, this kit eliminates it entirely while keeping your existing clutch fork and throwout bearing in place -- saving you time and money on the conversion.

    The 0.813" bore slave cylinder mounts externally using existing bellhousing bolts and pushes against your OEM clutch fork from the outside. The cylinder housing can be rotated to clock the fittings up, down, or to either side, making it easy to route lines around headers and power steering components. The adjustable push rod lets you dial in clutch engagement without removing any drivetrain components -- a major advantage over internal hydraulic release bearings when it comes to tuning and serviceability.

    Designed for Ford small block 157-tooth 6-bolt bellhousings, this kit fits both OEM and QuickTime housings that use a mechanical clutch fork. Installation requires just 1" of clearance in front of the bellhousing. When paired with MDL LF Series or Stealth Series master cylinder kits, the Eliminator system creates a matched hydraulic clutch package engineered to work as a complete system -- no guesswork on bore ratios or compatibility.

    FAQs

    Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.

    Bruce, Paul, Tyler and staff designed a terrific product with the Eliminator 4-speed (all speeds) External Hyd Slave Kit! I dumped the dreaded Z-bar set up from Ford. Everything fit perfectly to my bellhousing and the hydraulic slave was the perfect stroke for my mechanical units; clutch, & throw-out bearing. It is a very easy bolt on. The next challenge was bolting onto my 1966 GT350 powerplant the headers. OMG! The header clearance is so great, no clearance issues whatsoever! I give this one 5 stars for sure!     The Staff at MDL gave me the technical info I needed to order the right kit for my 1966 Mustang Fastback which I converted to MDL Hydraulic clutch setup for a conversion from a Zbar system to Hydraulic.
