MDL bundles this complete master cylinder kit for builders who want everything needed to install a hydraulic clutch master without hunting down fittings, rods, and hardware separately. The LF Series represents MDL's engineered approach to hydraulic clutch actuation - every component selected and tested to work together seamlessly.

    This cylinder's 0.700-inch bore paired with a full 1.4-inch stroke delivers 0.540 cubic inches of displacement volume - the sweet spot for actuating most hydraulic throwout bearings and slave cylinders without over-pressurizing the system or requiring excessive pedal travel. Don't confuse this with the Wilwood GS that has a shorter stroke - MDL's full 1.4-inch stroke ensures complete clutch disengagement even with high-clamp-load pressure plates.

    The remote reservoir design allows flexible mounting options when firewall space is limited or when you need to keep the fluid reservoir away from engine heat. All MDL hydraulic kits are hand-assembled in-house so that quality and tolerances can be controlled, then tested and double-checked for fit and finish before they go in the box. If you don't use the full stroke of the cylinder, MDL offers 3/4-inch and 7/8-inch bore masters for applications requiring different volume characteristics.

    Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A.
